Cannot teach old brain new tricks? Think twice.

Here is an interesting article describing some of the processes that our brain allegedly undergoes as we grow older. I have never really believed in the idea set forward by Piaget & co. about our development somehow stopping after the adolescence, so I have no difficulties believing in the assumption that our brain in fact has the pontential of becoming a better and more effective tool as it matures. What surprised me, however, was the activity that tops the list of “challenging leisure activities that keep your brain fit”: dancing. Where did I put those red shoes, again…
