NASA has lost contact with the Mars Global Surveyor, which was sent to Mars in 1996 to map the planet. It is, however, probable that communication will be restored soon. New Scientist Space has the story.
Sand geysers on Mars
Images from a camera orbiting Mars indicate that the planet has enormous geysers that throw sand and dust hundreds of feet into the air. Arizona State University reports, with artist’s images.
